Automatic setup

PostSort calculates how bundles and boxes should be packed to comply with the various distributors' guidelines and requirements.

In order to calculate, the program needs to know:

Product size and weight.

Whether the shipment is to be packed as a bundle or put in a box.

The maximum number in a bundle is controlled by the weight and height of the bundle.

Maximum bundle weight:

Posten SE: 7000 g

Posten NO: 6000 g

Posten FI: 10 000 g

The height of the bundle must not exceed the shortest side of a product.

PostSort uses the following values from the distributor for the minimum thickness of a bundle.

Posten SE

50mm

Posten NO

40mm

CityMail SE

50mm

HeltHjem NO

25mm

Morgonpost SE

40mm

Posten DK

40mm

Posten FI

40mm

Posten IS

40mm

Example.

The product weighs 67 grams and has the size of an A4 with a thickness of 1.8 mm.

It must be sent as a bundle and the bundles must be placed on a pallet.
