	The highlighted character in the loading dialog becomes the default character for character translation.

Character table

The dialog provides full possibilities to change the character table.

A character table contains 256 characters (0-255).

Characters with a value less than 32, are special characters used for line breaks, tabs, etc. and are indicated by their name.

Windows does not use all characters between 127 and 255 and they are normally displayed as .


	Deviations between incoming and outgoing characters.

	There are three ways to specify replacement characters:
	•Via the keyboard. •Via the blinds. •Highlight and press Ctrl-Shift.
