If inactive, non-expanded multi-copy addresses will be displayed later in the optimization window:

Example: You are preparing an annual mailing of an advertising magazine for a sports store. The mailing targets both private individuals and companies and includes approximately 20,000 addresses.

Some companies should receive multiple copies, which is indicated in a separate column in the address file. The number of multi-copy entries in the file varies between 3 and 30. You specify the field where the multi-copy information is located—in this case, “Quantity.” Multi-copy entries under 5 should be expanded, so you set Level 5. These will automatically be included in the total run. You plan to send the remaining multi-copy entries in cartons of up to 10. In the subsequent sorting, the Level and Maximum Value settings will determine how many labels are printed.
